Braunschweiger Crostini

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf Sally Lunn bread, sliced into 1/2-inch-thick slices
  • Olive oil, as needed
  • 8 ounces Black Bear® Braunschweiger
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup sliced black & green olives

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 450°F.

Arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet and drizzle the olive oil over top.  Place in the oven and bake until golden brown and crisp.  Remove and set aside to cool.

In a medium mixing bowl, whip together the braunschweiger and butter until creamy in consistency.  Place in a pastry bag fitted with a star tip.

Pipe about 2 tablespoons of the braunschweiger mousse onto each crostini and garnish with olive slices.
