Instructions:
Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove the sausage from the casing and separate into pieces. Drop the pieces into the pan and sauté until cooked through, about 5 minutes.
Remove the sausages from the pan and drain on paper towels. Drain the excess fat from the pan.
Return the pan to the heat and add the remaining olive oil. Toss in the garlic and onions and sauté until the onions are translucent. Add the broccoli rabe and cook until wilted.
Add the pasta and toss until well incorporated. Cook for 1 minute. Add the tomatoes and artichoke hearts, and cook for 1 minute more.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, then transfer to a large pasta bowl. Top with the grated cheese.
Garnish with basil.
